Corporate Social Investment (CSI)
Rectron is genuinely committed to using its skills, resources and people to enhance the lives of others and to make a valuable contribution to the societies that we serve
Giving back to the community forms part of Rectron’s culture and we have aligned our CSI initiatives with organisations that support education and technology.
Some recent CSI initiatives include the following
Change the World Trust (since 2007)
Change the World Trust has been a partner of Rectron’s since 2007. The NPO’s critical mission is providing high school students and unemployed youth with computer literacy and other computer based skills to increase their eligibility for employment. In 2016 they had a total of 1957 high school students, 564 unemployed youth and 94 teachers that received training. Rectron contributed towards this cause through the provision of IT hardware.
Action for the Blind (since 2010)
Action for the Blind is a non-profit organisation based in Roodepoort and Kwa-Zulu Natal. Their mission is to teach and train blind and disabled youth about computers and computer software with the goal of training them to the required level needed to be able to write their Microsoft Accredited examinations. Through this training, Action for the blind hopes to assist these students in gaining permanent employment.
Rectron has been a partner for Action for the Blind since 2010 and assists the NPO by donating computer software, hardware and peripherals for their learning centres around the country.
