Join Us This Festive Season In Giving Back To Our Communities
2020 has been a particularly difficult year for so many people, which is why we feel that it was important to make a more meaningful impact over the festive season. As the country is currently focussing on the public health issues as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, we felt that it is important that we rally together to address the needs of the most vulnerable members of society.
Each year we buy Christmas gifts for our stakeholders to show our appreciation for the successful partnerships we have built over the years and the amazing work we have achieved together. This year, we have decided to give back to our communities through charitable donations of ICT equipment to combined value of over R300,000 to the United Cerebral Palsy Association of South Africa and the Abraham Kriel Bambanani.
We have learned that technology has never been more essential to our daily lives. We as a company have been fortunate to stay connected and ensure business continuity. However, there are millions of people across the country without access to such digital technology who have been left behind as the digital divide within our society deepens – highlighted further through this period.
ICT equipment is an enabler, which is why this year we want to give these essential tools to those who need them most. Through our effort, the United Cerebral Palsy Association of South Africa and the Abraham Kriel Bambanani will both receive ICT equipment valued at R171,104 and R139,973 respectively, which we believe will better enable them to carry out their missions and purpose.
As an ICT distributor, we hope to impact people’s quality of life through advanced technology, good service and ongoing support. These charitable groups and NPOs both provide essential services to those less fortunate which is why we can add our weight behind them and make a positive impact on many people’s lives.
We would like to once again thank all partners within our ecosystem for the amazing work we have been able to achieve this year, despite the challenges we have all endured. We hope that the festive season is filled with joy, happiness and relaxation for you and your loved ones.
Message From United Cerebral Palsy Association:
“We would like to convey a very big Thank you to you for your donation. Without the accumulative effort of our wonderful sponsors we would not be able to continue our work in helping the children. : No one stands so tall as those who bend to help a child”
Marie van den Berg – Executive Director, UCP.
A Message from Abraham Kriel:
“What Rectron do for children in need, truly makes YOU remarkable and inspiring. Thank you for continuing to make a difference in the midst of the hardship all around.
Our children who felt hopeless, scared and uncertain before are encouraged to look UP to find peace. You remind them that God provides. You remind them that the Stars shine on them too.
Because of you, these vulnerable children:
Jump out of bed excited to start the day, feeling safe…
Get dressed in new clothing that fits and is neat because you enabled Marketing to source clothing donors…
Hug a housemother who looks after them with love-witnessed on security cameras…
Study eagerly on house computers you provide…
Dream of studies and career opportunities because you open doors to a future…
Thanks to you, our children and youth will be part of a brighter tomorrow. You are the Stars that never fade away….
Thank you! May you be truly blessed! “
Annamart Viljoen – Social Funding Developer, Abraham Kriel
